something I am grateful for today
The wind stopped.
A really strong wind was howling and buffeting our house all yesterday and the night before. It was getting disturbing -- I can't remember the last time there was such a powerful relentless wind for such a long time without even the briefest interruption. Eventually it was freaking me out.
Also, it was during this howling sub-zero white-out windstorm that our garage door got stuck partway open and broke -- couldn't get the car out. I'm grateful that there was a company willing to send someone out on a weekend during a storm to fix it -- they had it done just after lunch and didn't charge so very much for it either.
