one of life's great mysteries

Why why why do my dishwashing gloves always die by springing a leak in the right index finger? I've got a bunch of perfectly good lefties piling up in the kitchen here... and the lack of expected randomness in the process is driving me a bit nuts.

Are you right handed? Seems logical there'd be more wear in the most used finger.

Gotta find a left-handed person with the same problem! Then you can swap spares! :D

Your index finger is the scout, it feels the way and guides the rest and moves more. I'm mostly right handed too, my left hand holds the dish, my right hand forages about in the soapy water, retrieving cutlery, wielding the scrubber and using it,and the index finger is the most dextrous and leads the way.
