So:

like I've already said too many times, I'm resurrecting an old idea for a comic I had twenty-plus years ago. Back then, I put in years of research because it's fairly ideas-intensive (SF, meaning I have to create a setting and I'm trying to do a good job). So now I'm going back and reviewing that research, refreshing my memory and updating sutff in the light of new knowledge and all that...

but now I'm doing my research online, which in the late 80s simply was not an option, and I can't help noticing: researching is so much easier now! Thank God for the internet!

Just don't get bogged down in technical accuracy.

No SF show has been more acclaimed in my lifetime than the remake of BSG... and no show has been more wildly inaccurate and inconsistent technically.

I'm trying to write something I would like to read... which, me being me, means that I need to at least achieve greater accuracy than that.

If I can do as good as Planetes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetes) I'll be quite content.
