Listening to “It's For You”, by Lyle and The Mighty Pat, in the car.
If I had to pick a fave synth player, Lyle Mays would be my instant and obvious choice. The first time I heard him, I was amazed at the warm and organic sounds he was able to get out of an instrument that is so Not. Never heard anything like it before or since. What a guy. What an artiste.
