something I am grateful for today

I have re-adjusted climatically to being back home.

While I was in London, I knew the temperature was above freezing yet I felt really cold sometimes, in a most un-Canadian fashion. Today it is well below and yet I feel warmer and more comfy than I did on those “cold” UK days.

I've got my Canuck back!

Cold

When I was staying in northern Alberta, I learned that dry cold really does make a difference. It was at least 10 degrees colder than winter in Toronto, but it didn't feel much colder (except when we were working outdoors) because it was a dry cold.

England is renowned for damp. At least you didn't go to Scotland. The damp and cold seem to double when you cross Hadrian's Wall.

I suspected something like that, actually! :)
