Also grateful for filling up the car the day before gas went up 15¢ a (US) gallon!  :)

Crazy. My dad gets his gas in the US each week. Even with the $3 border toll, it's still substantially cheaper. He gets their milk, eggs, butter, cream cheese, a few other things as well, since groceries aren't taxed in NY.

Most groceries aren't taxed here, either. It's kinda odd how they figure it -- sutff that's considered non-staples, like snacks and junk food, are taxed. So are non-food things like TP. But milk, bread, eggs, meat, etc. -- “real” groceries -- aren't.
