In the midst of what is sure to be yet more ongoing sound and fury, signifying nothing, surrounding [the now late] Anna Nicole Smith, I felt it would be a good idea to remind people:

before, back in the days before she degenerated into a pathetic cartoon and one-woman sideshow... there once was a time when Anna was simply a model, and was actually very pretty.

As a matter of fact, I did. I've only ever bought about a dozen issues out of umpteen hundred, so I have to be Really Impressed® [and/or Have A Major Crush®] in order to be induced to fork out for Hugh's fat glossy mag...

Actually, it wasn't this issue -- it was two issues later, when Anna appeared as the centerfold. Sorry, me mix dem up. [Duh.]
