I have sometimes wondered if, given the option to become telepathic at will, I would take it.

Since I wouldn't want people knowing what was going on in my head, I would return the courtesy and say no to telepathy. I wouldn't mind being a better lie detector though.

For me it depends on how incorruptible I would really be.

Tempting just to say yes -- as with telepathy, it's not like you are saying you would actually use your new abiilties, only that you would have the option -- but if absolute power really does corrupt absolutely...

I think I would turn out to be rather Tony Starkish. My motives would be good, and I would generally do the thing I believed right regardless of personal benefit, but there would also be occasional screwups.
