something I am grateful for today
The technology that allows me to burn cheap discs full of music in the comfort of my own home.
I enjoy creating my own custom anthologies. I will sometimes burn myself a Best of Whoever disc of a given band. Even if they already released an official Best of disc. Even though I could rip their songs into MP3s and fit their entire oeuvre onto a disc [which I also sometimes do]. I just enjoy the challenge of filling up 79 minutes worth of CD music with what I would've chosen if someone had asked me to pick their Best of. Plus it makes for concentrated Good Listening®.
Some of us have different ideas of “fun”, I guess.
