something I am grateful for today
Paul Fricke, whose latest work is clearly a love letter to the old comic books I grew up on. It reminds me of how much I loved to read comics back in the day, and how much I love to make them now... just basically evokes a very strong, very warm, emotional/irrational reaction from me.
As if that weren't enough, Paul also teaches me how to more deeply appreciate the artistic example of Alex Toth -- plus he himself serves as an example of comics craftsmanship for me to continually strive toward, dangling in front of me like a carrot... :P Keep on rockin', Paul!

I have the first two and I am waiting on the third.
Massive volumes, hours and hours of eyeball candy.

I have the coveted "Toth By Design" very expensive and hard to find. I do have the Standard book also.
It's a never ending search for Toth stuff.
