something I am grateful for today

I am grateful for my wife Sharon, who celebrates her birthday today.  The best things in my life are [still] her, and our kids (which I wouldn't have without her) -- so she gets double bonus points for being here!  xoxox

I have similarly repetitive messages each year on June 9, June 24, August 4 and November 6... the birthdays of my Aunt Yang, Dad, Mum and sister Joanne respectively. Mine are memorials. It's not that I'm not grateful for the living, it's just that they tend to get self-conscious when I draw attention to it.

That being said, I'm going to thank the universe for my niece Sophie, who shares Sharon's birthday.
