frustrated and confused... and phishing, sorta

Every so often I gather that someone here in LJ is someone I "knew" back in the old Zone days [which it now occurs to me were over ten years ago!] but since I'm not savvy to their usernames I'm still ultimately in the dark, I dunno who's who.

And I'm thinkin, I'm sure there are some I'd like to add to my list so I can check out their posts and whatnot... and I would if I knew who they were... but on the other hand they haven't contacted me either, so maybe they don't want to be on my list anyhoo... and besides, seeing how infrequently I'm here and how little I have to contribute, I can't really say they're missing much...but then, maybe they don't know I'm me, the same way that I don't know they're them... so who knows?

Hell, I dunno.

Maybe the thing to do is make an Announcement®:

Attention old Zoners: I am Curmudge*. I joined The Friends Zone in December 1994. I was the Zone Curmudgeonly Cartoonist. If you can't believe you're not on my LJ friends list after all we've been through together, it's because I don't know it's you. I'm not mad at you or anything.

If you're reading this and are aware of anyone else who might want to know it, please pass it on. Thanx muchly.
