something I am grateful for today

I've noticed that I have a tendency to miss the occasional gratitude post, especially on weekends (e.g., yesterday).

I am grateful that I never made any kind of formal rigid commitment, to myself or anyone else, about the daily appearance of these posts. That way, I can cut myself some slack and just let it go when I miss one, instead of feeling like I let anyone down by failing.

I've spent enough of my life looking for reasons to beat myself up about things, and these posts were never intended to be yet one more. I'm trying to give that up.

And, strangely enough, these posts are helping with that somehow.
