something I am grateful for today

This evening, me 'n' my brothers are going out to catch Gary Burton in concert. Playing with Gary [and loudly announced by the local jazz media] is one Pat Metheny, who got his professional start in Gary's band decades ago.

I have been heavily into The Mighty Pat® for over 25 years and this will be the first time I've ever seen him in person, so for me this promises to be A Big Deal.
