something I am grateful for today
Jan. 20th, 2010 10:46 amI usually try to park as close to the office as I can, to save time and effort. Today I was forced to park pretty far away, so I ended up walking a couple blocks.
As it happened, though, that walk was pretty nice. Today is our first nice sunny morning in quite a while, and the temperature, while below freezing as it often is this time of year, is not what I'd call severe. So, the walk ended up being kinda brisk and invigorating, and I arrived at the office feeling rather uplifted.
Funny to think that I normally work so hard to avoid such experiences! Yet, I know myself well enough that I will continue to try to park nearby whenever I can. Still, today I was presented with a small hike and ended up liking it. There it is.
