something I am grateful for today
Feb. 4th, 2010 06:53 amThis mornin I got up well before dawn (as I almost always do when it isn't summer) and looked outside at the snow under the streetlights.
It was sparkling. A phenomenon frequently described as looking like there are diamonds scattered everywhere. Gorgeous. A sight I haven't seen in many years.
Strangely, though, I didn't see any of these sparkles when I looked out last night. Same lighting, same snow. [From what I can tell by recognizing the footprints etc. out there this mornin, I don't think we got any fresh snowfall overnight.] So why is it sparkling now when it didn't then?
I'm saying “magic”.
