something I am grateful for today

We weathered the storm.

Yesterday our region was in a constant state of Severe Weather Watch as intermittent thunderstorms flashed thru. However, we ended up sustaining none of the damage from wind or hail or flooding that the warnings alerted us to the possibility of.

There was a tornado sighted about 15 miles north of us, though, which is much closer to my neighbourhood than those beasties usually get.

Today it's still wet and windy but there are no watches or warnings, so it looks like the worst is over and we're fine.
