something I am grateful for today

The memory of my old friend Michael S. Allen, who would've been 57 today. Michael was one of the people I was closest to, and he did more to encourage me, to open me up and expand me as a person, than almost anyone else I know. Much of what I am today, I would not be if I had not known him.
