something I am grateful for today

Someone recently called me “realistic” and “level-headed”, and it reminded me that, for a while now, I have felt wise.  I think I have things figured out pretty well, I am handling things okay, I am doing a better job of managing this thing called life.  I finally reached that point.  I am a Wise Elder®.

Then I remember that, for the last few years, I haven't really been confronted with any Major Problems.  I've always tended to crumble in the face of Major Problems.  But when life is easy, giving people the impression that you've got it all sorted out is pretty simple.

I am thankful for the lack of Major Problems in my life.  Long may it continue thus!
