something I am grateful for today
Apr. 6th, 2013 04:14 pmGood Samaritans.
I always pull into our garage into the same spot, so over the last few years our gravel driveway has developed tire trenches in it [which help me line up correctly!]. As a result of those trenches, the edge of the concrete garage floor sticks up maybe an inch by now, so there's a little bump up into the garage when we pull in.
But now, suddenly, pulling into the garage is a smooth glide with no little bump. When I went back to see why, I now find that, right where the concrete floor meets the gravel, someone has filled in the tire trenches with sand to create a smooth incline.
I have no idea who did this or why they thought to do it. None of my neighbours has sand handy, to my knowledge. It's a mysterious surprise. But it's also a nice little gesture.
