something I am grateful for today

the gift of time -- realizing that I awake every day with the same amount of time that everyone else has, the same opportunities to make choices for my life (within the limitations of my brain and mind and circumstance, of course... but every new day holds the chance/obligation to make our choices anew)  [Existentialism 101]

And here is one of those reminders I need to post for myself at times: in recent years I have been complaining more and more often about how time seems to race by... the days and weeks and months are gone in a flash. (They say this is a common perception that comes with growing older?) But today, I look back and realize that this past month has crawled by interminably, on snailback. I need to remember that there are times when tempus does not fugit!
