something I am grateful for today

I am often alone, though. I need more “alone time” than anyone else I know, and those closest to me understand this.
However, I don't want to be alone all the time. In any given day, there will be a time when I feel like being with someone. And when I do, there is always someone there -- my wife, one or more of my kids, a few friends who still live nearby.
When I try to imagine how I would feel if I was alone even when I didn't want to be, I realize that my life as it is now, is a blessing.
