See, this is exactly what I don't get, which prompted my fake poll in the first place. If a guy bluffs, then he either bluffs unsuccessfully or else he bluffs successfully for a little while and then his bluff inevitably gets called!

And yet research shows that guys consistently overestimate the size of the packages they are expected to deliver. In fact, I read that the reported average size of said package has decreased significantly over the last fifty years -- but only because earlier research depended on guys filling out surveys, while later researchers actually did their own measuring! As soon as they listened to their tape measures instead of "how the guy answered the question about himself", the average man lost about an inch and a half!

[Speaking of which, if I was ever a subject for such research, I'd want my measurement to be taken by a person of my own choosing, in order to optimize my results... ;P ]
