Favorite thing I do to let myself know how great I am: re-visit some of my old works of art, and reviews thereof.

My proudest standing-up-for-myself moment: actually, I can't recall one -- it's not something I have a great track record of doing.
There was the whole kafuffle with my parents trying to get me to stop seeing my first girlfriend and I wouldn't. At the time I felt defiant and Oh So Terribly, Terribly Romantic™ -- but it eventually turned out that I was being a dolt and they were only trying to save me from myself, as parents will... so the moment no longer seems quite so proud.

These are the people I keep around cause they know I'm awesome, too: bevantor, who doesn't need me to explain. And my oldest still-friend Cheech, who isn't exactly "around" per se, yet is always there for me.

Why it's so fun being me: I enjoy simple things [it doesn't take a lotta money or Sutff® to make me happy], and I never get bored.
