a serious break in the heat - the AC is off, the windows are open, and hopefully people will stop dying from it

being fitted in for an eye exam after a last-minute cancellation -- this gets my annual spring check-up closer to "on schedule" [before this, they hadn't been able to fit me in any earlier than September wtaaf]
