[And no, nothing is happening in my life to make this topic come up now, I ran across it reading somewhere and it got me curious.] Just fishing for opinions here: to what extent would you say your Significant Other® is entitled to expect you to change to suit their wishes?

I just discussed it with my husband, since he's right here, and we both agreed that it's "zero." He pointed out that you can have an expectation of compromise and adaptation, and people *do* change, but you can't expect that change to conform to your wishes. No entitlement.
