something I am grateful for today

johncomicThis past weekend I got an idea for a new comic, so that means I now have two books I can work on this year. Someone has pointed out to me that the two comics are nearly polar opposites, so whatever mood I'm in, I can work on one or the other - how swell.
This week I've been “in development” on the second series, and this mornin I took my first crack at drawing the main character. My verdict: not bad! I need to tweak a couple of things (a bit of the proportions, hairstyle, maybe some clothing details), but overall this first sketch worked out pretty well.
I'm always grateful when a drawing goes well. :)
