something I am grateful for today

The first day of the month is a mini-event for me. I keep a monthly calendar on the wall near my desk. Each year I usually get one that has cute pictures of dogs and pups in it, and this year is no exception. So, each “1st”, I get to turn a page and catch my first glimpse of the new cute pup of the month. Always a treat.

OMG. I thought I was the only one. To me, this is right up with odometer events... I LOVE calendar days. I have a kitten mousepad calendar (and February's kitten is kind of scary) and a New Zealand wall calendar - still getting beach pix in Feb.

Sometimes I even wait on the wall calendar - a day or two - for the suspense!

I need to change it on the correct day -- throws me off too much if I leave last month showing past its proper timeslot.
