johncomicJust received a couple of wonderful books [I guess indirectly they're a birthday present from my mom]. So exciting, so inspiring, so beautiful...
I'm gradually coming to believe that Noel Sickles might be to American adventure comics what Tezuka was to manga: the creator of a fundamental overall approach that spread to all other artists. If you were to trace the influences of everyone working in the field since, and then trace their influences, etc., then that chain of influences would eventually and unerringly lead back to That One Guy.
