something I am grateful for today
May. 20th, 2009 07:19 amI wear prescription orthotic insoles cuz my feet have next to no arch. [TMI? Sorry.] Anyhoo, ideally I should go see the orthoticist every couple years to have everything checked, cuz the prescription on the insoles can change, over time they can wear out and not support you properly, yadda yadda. Unfortunately, that's the sort of thing that's easy for me to put off, cuz my feet don't hurt and I am a procrastinator down to my genes.
OK, so I finally went back in to see my orthoticist. Turns out I haven't been in to see him for nine years. Oy.
But [amazingly] during those nine years, nothing bad happened. At all. (Footwise and insolewise, I mean.) My insoles have not weakened a bit, they are still supporting me with utter correctness, and my feet are, essentially, fine. He was so impressed with how well these insoles have held up over the years [and I'm thinkin
