something I am grateful for today

Yesterday a tornado warning was suddenly issued for our region. A couple hours later the warning was removed, without any tornados hitting us in the interim. As if that weren't enough, tho:

while there were no tornados here, there was comparatively extreme weather which swept thru. And its sweep included sweeping out the humid air that was clogging the area over the last few days. Meaning that, last night, not only could we turn off the A/C and open the windows, but during the night the house cooled down enough that we actually needed the duvet. [In August, folx!]

okay, so I happen to be listening to The Diodes....

... and sitting next to me is someone whose friend is friends with the [twin] daughters of one of The Diodes! It's like I'm Kevin Bacon!
