something I am grateful for today
Dec. 9th, 2009 06:43 amLast night they were predicting 10 to 15 cm of snow overnight here (this time I will allow my southron friends to do the math - hint: divide by 2.5) -- plus drifts. That means getting up an hour early and overstraining my fibromyalgic back in order to clear the driveway.
Got up this mornin to check it out, and the snowfall is more in the range of four cm at best. Not only that, the wind patterns scrubbed half of the driveway clean already! Ended up being about 15 min of a light waving-away of the deeper bits, instead of the grueling ordeal I was braced for. Hooray for Old Man Winter giving me a break this time!
