something I am grateful for today
Feb. 11th, 2013 08:01 pmThe following comment, which I received yesterday after the posting of my site's newest Space Kid! page:
I don't get a lot of commentary on my writing. And I don't remember if anyone has ever called my writing “great” before.
I am touched.
See, there you go again with the whole being a great writer thing. That scene of the hero being missing and his friends losing hope as they search for him in vain is one of the standard staple moments of melodrama. We've all seen it a hundred times. So how come this page makes me feel like I've never seen this moment before, and I'm anxious for Stella? Answer: see sentence one above.

I am touched.
