something I am grateful for today
Nov. 26th, 2014 09:22 pmTenacity and ingenuity. :P
For years I have listened to music at my desk at work via either A) a CD playing in the CD-ROM drive or B) a USB external drive full of MP3s.
Last week my work PC was replaced by a new one that is "only a monitor" -- it has no tower and no CD-ROM drive. And while the "giant tablet" does have USB ports, they have all been disabled by a new departmental security policy. :\
SO: I dug up an old CD boombox, brought it to work, and plonked it on my desk in the space where the tower used to be. I WILL have music at my desk, and it will be my music, dammit!
This is one of the first things I played on it today.
