something I am grateful for today
Sep. 24th, 2010 10:45 amSharon and Hunter are both sick today.
Okay, I'm not actually happy about that, this is more like looking for the silver lining. If I may explain:
I start work later in the mornin than most folx. But I also take Sharon to work, and Hunter to school, every day, and then, after I'm done dropping them off, I go in to my office a bit later on. Today, since they are both sick, I didn't need to drop off either of them. This meant that I was at home with about an hour to kill before I needed to take myself to work.
And I had this hour not at the end of the day when I'm beat, but at the beginning when I'm starting fresh. So I drew Space Kid!, for the first time in a number of days [I've been falling behind on account of unusual busy-ness and fatigue]. I actually managed to rough-pencil an entire page in that time.
I don't often get a chunk of quality drawing time handed to me like that, so I need to make a point of appreciating it when it happens.
