something I am grateful for today

Remembered to renew my licence plate sticker in plenty of time this year (for a change)! Now, as long as I don't forget to also attach the sticker to my licence plate, I'm all set.

Yeah getting the tabs on time is a no brainer. Getting the tabs onto the license plate on time is, I'm pretty sure, impossible. I know I've never been able to do it. Maye it's different in Canada.

I used to just need to peel the old sticker off the corner of the plate and stick on the new one. Now (with my new car) I need to figure out how to get the licence plate out of the clear plastic sleeve which is attached to the car, in order to be able to get at the old sticker.

Unless I just wanna put the sticker on the corner of the plastic sleeve? Probably not wise...

The real problem here is that, for the time being, I have put the new sticker in the glove compartment, so that it's ready for when I figure out how to extract the plate. My trouble is that “tucked away safely to take care of later” so often devolves into “completely forgotten”!

yeah, i think given that scenario, have no chance of getting it done before you get caught. might as well start saving now for the fine.
