johncomicThe birth of Ruriko Kuboh [now Ruriko Miyako], who turns 42 today. I first saw her on TV on New Year's Day 1994, and that was the first time I had ever heard any jpop which truly pleased and excited me. This opened a new musical world for me, and led me to much more music that has joined the ranks of my very favourites. So thank you, Ruriko, and enjoy your day!
PS: she may be 42 but still looks 22!
