something I am grateful for today

We're getting our first real snowfall of the season right now. It isn't accumulating on the ground (yet) -- still melting on impact -- but the air is undeniably filled with little white snow thingies.

I'm no great fan of snow, but I appreciate A) that it held off this long rather than hitting us in early October like many other years, and B) that it's a sign that The Circle of Life and all that continues to unfold as it should.

Whereas in Austin we're getting cool nights and days with highs in the mid-seventies F -- perfect weather, as far as I'm concerned. It will likely persist until about May with occasional intervals of brief cold or rain.

This, btw, is karmic payback for your remark earlier this year that Canada was paradise for Austinites.
