I realize that LJ is considered “old-fashioned, outmoded, uncool media”, so it seems like the perfect place to record my old-fashioned, outmoded, and uncool [not to mention hackneyed and “old-man”] thoughts:

Since hearing about the death of Whitney Houston, my mind keeps coming back to this:

beautiful, talented, famous, and rich... and she still wasn't happy

I'm related to at least one happy crack addict, so it can happen apparently. And I don't think LJ is outmoded.. I've been considering recording my ramblings here again. I think the reason I tend to not post to LJ is that when I have infinite space to post, I tend to whine a lot more. Hrm. On the other hand, it is nice to be able to actually communicate instead of just update.
