something I am grateful for today

Workday breakfasts.

When Sharon and I get ready for work in the mornin, part of our routine is to eat breakfast together at the kitchen table. We normally have some good music on, we have a good view into the backyard in case some cute creature comes by, and there's not much else to do then except just be there, just the two of us. It's a nice, close, still-ish moment in the day and I really look forward to it.

I have a moment like that in the day too. Well, not very much like that except in spirit. At the end of the day, the kids and I congregate on my bed and talk about stuff. Usually it gets pretty silly, but it starts off quiet and communal.
