something I am grateful for today

Sharon's obsessions.
She almost never gets mildly interested in something. When something strikes her fancy, it in fact smacks her fancy down hard to the ground and then throttles it in a death grip. Whether it be a new band, a new author, a new TV series, she immerses herself in it and studies every little detail. And shares.
Fortunately for me, she has never yet been interested in something that I thought was crap or couldn't stand or that drives me nuts. So I end up getting a crash course in whatever the thing is, and I always end up learning things. For instance: the last few days we have had this album on heavy rotation (because it's the only one by them that we currently own, and right now they are her newest Thing). So I have ended up listening to this music a lot, and having interesting things about it pointed out to me... and therefore I in turn am learning to appreciate it on a level that I otherwise would have missed. This is really good sutff, and I only realize that because she showed that to me.
That's often how these things go. :)
