Two of the most surefire hot-button topics in American news are school shootings and sex scandals in high places. It strikes me as odd that there should be three [so far] school shootings and the Foley scandal, all happening within the same few days as the process to pass the Military Commissions Act. That act is America's first big leap into the pits of fascism, but to look at CNN you'd never have any idea there was any legislating going on at all anywhere. What Military Commissions Act? It's all about shootings and Foley... an unprecedented amount of sensational violence and scandal, all inexplicably happening now.
