20 years ago: i had been living with sharon for about 2.5 years and had no idea that we were about to get engaged in july and wed in september [it just kinda happened on a whim]

15 years ago: we were just beginning to house-hunt for the first time, i was commuting to a new job in toronto and first beginning to manifest signs of chronic fatigue... and we had no idea that in july we would launch our family

10 years ago: hunter was barely crawling so he was still easy to "confine to quarters" in a crib or playpen... and he was manifesting numerous little health problems... paisley was just learning to read... i was still a fresh newbie in my current department in the university, having just transferred in january... i was in therapy for the second time but not on antidepressants yet

5 years ago: i was in the midst of two years disability leave from my job... spent all my time websurfing, building websites [handcoding from scratch, of course], and listening to music... had been on antidepressants for a few years now and thanked God for them every day

1 year ago: i spent a lot of my time being bitter and surly to the real world [when i wasnt avoiding it by hanging in chatrooms more and more and more often]... it was a pretty pathetic time, really...

yesterday: spent most of my time lying down nursing a migraine... did a couple mundane chores like dishes and laundry... played board games with the kids a bit... read a little... all very quiet and taking-it-easy

today: finally got to go pick up my "free-trial" CPAP machine thingy... pretty exciting... and the lab is located in the hospital so i had to go thru the checkpoints for SARS before i was allowed to go in... still sad cuz this lady in my office that i really like is leaving soon for a better job and i will miss her terribly

tomorrow: i will wake up after a night on the CPAP and feel like a thousand bucks
