something I am grateful for today

The last couple of nights, it hasn't cooled down much from the daytime and the air has been kinda stuffy and humid, so we've kept the house closed up and left the A/C on all night as well as all day. Last evening, though, there was a major unexpected air mass shift, so when we went to bed we shut off the A/C [save bux!! yay!] and opened up all the windows to let some new air in.

This morning the house is cooler than it was with the A/C on and it's all fresh. Ever nice.



PS: yes, I am also grateful that we even have A/C, unlike our last house. But still.

I miss my air conditioned house. We have a complicated program of opening and closing doors, windows and blinds at different times of day, and figuring out just the right time to put on the attic fan. It's fun.

I don't mind it except when the neighbors are talking or playing guitar outside late at night because we need to keep the windows open and I don't sleep well with extracurricular noise.
