something I am grateful for today

We have always tried to raise our kids with unconditional love, and with a certain fundamental respect as human beings. Today I was witness to things that suggest to me, that my children are aware of this, and appreciate the fact that not all parents do it that way. Maybe even that they are fortunate to have been raised the way they were.

This makes me feel rather successful and gratified. Hope I'm not deluding myself in order to get there, but what the heck.
