something I am grateful for today

We got a heavy snow last night.  Not heavy enough to earn us another Snow Day®, alas, but: this time it was a fairly wet snow that stuck to the trees, so this mornin all the branches are hi-lit and outlined, which looks really cool.  As well, when the snow piles up on the branches thick enough, sometimes it will suddenly slip off, so there are these intermittent random long horizontal ropes of snow falling under some of the trees, which looks really cool too!

I only just noticed this today: when I feel like I am in a position of authority, I speak more clearly. When I feel outranked, I mumble. I don't do either one on purpose.
