[Error: unknown template qotd]I would choose Jesus Christ (he was considered a dangerous political radical in his day, that makes him a “political figure”), and I would ask him, “Will you please prove to me whether or not you truly are God Incarnate?”

Jesus Christ is the son of God.
Yet, he said that unless you are born again, will you attain purity.
And can see the Kingdom of God.

My analysis of the bible passages..:)

What if he said no? What if his answer was "What the heck are you talking about bro? I'm no more god incarnate than you are... and no less."

Then at least I'd finally know.

Would you, though?

Suppose Jesus confirmed divinity, but refused to perform a suitable water-to-wine miracle as proof of concept. This continually happened in the Bible and would likely happen to you. What then?

Alternately, if you got the (apparent) miracle, how would you establish it had happened via divine power -- not something else?

When you consider the universe is 14 billion years old, you have to wonder what a civilization two billion years older than ours might be capable of managing these days.

For the time being, I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt that if He were diving, He would be capable of proving it to my satisfaction. Right now, I don't know what that proof would entail. It might even be some non-rational mechanism reaching me at an axiomatic gut-level, along the lines of cogito ergo sum.

Well, judging by your capital Hs, the benefit of the doubt has already been given. So maybe you're more certain than you seem.
