A personal milestone of sorts.

Today I finished the last page of the current episode of Space Kid! Which means I now have a block of 177 pages of art and story that ends at a natural ending point. And this total surpasses the goal I had set for myself to reach in order to consider publication.

By which I mean, I now have enough pages to publish this as a book. I have already sent queries out to a couple of publishers -- we'll see what if anything happens.

The whole idea when I started this was that I wanted to have a book someday. One step closer!

This also means I am now drawing very close to ten months ahead of publication -- this last page will go online on September 15 next year.

If you publish a nice edition -- in any way, from any source -- I will buy it.

I would also still be interested in commissioning a certain wall print. You know the one I have in mind.

There was a big drained Scottish lake and a scientist addressing a crowd...

Apparently this place (http://ka-blam.com/printing/front/) can print me a copy of my book for $4.77, including bleeds (which not all printers can do).

Cool Stuff!

I have used Ka-Blam, they print ok, but be very careful, they are kind of sloppy on details, you gotta keep on top of them.

Can you give me some examples of what kind of details, Ron?

Oh yeah, incomplete orders, stuff missing, then a horrible time convincing them it wasn't shipped, they marked the order as complete when 1 part was done, but the 2 other parts (t-shirts and some art boards) never got done and after about 6 months of fighting them, I just gave up. It was a small order, but I wont be using them again based on their customer service.
The printing of the books was nice, great quality, so if just printing a book, should be fine, but again, be on top of them.

Yeah, “just printing some books” is all I'd be looking for from them, nothing too complicated to get them confused! :P
