something I am grateful for today

On my way into work this mornin, I happened to drive past a park that runs alongside the river. It was a drab overcast day and the trees are all bare by now, so the view was no postcard. But it was still a long stretch of green grass and a nature-y kind of view... and it suddenly struck me as beautiful in its own understated way. So much so that I broke out in a wide grin looking at it.

And I was suddenly awash with a sense of the world being filled with beautiful little things all around, if you just make the effort to look. And I felt like I love being alive and I love being here. It was like A Moment.

If it's a moment that's too hippie-dippie for you or whatever, then sorry about that. But it's my moment and I'll still keep it, thanks. :)
