something I am grateful for today

After what seemed like 24 solid hours of cloud cover, falling snow, wind, and every reason to stay indoors, this mornin we are blessed with bright sunshine and blue sky.  Of course, those immense swaths of snow over everything make the day even brighter.

Speaking of snow, yesterday I happened to catch sight of my next-door neighbour brushing the snow off of his barbecue -- in preparation for using it, I am forced to conclude.  That's a bit nuts, but okay.
